The youth department of the Kursk diocese has deployed a center for humanitarian aid to residents of border areas who have left their homes. The center appeared with the support of Kursk residents and the participation of volunteers.
The work of the center is organized in several directions: collection and sorting of incoming humanitarian aid, targeted delivery of mobile orders by motor transport and provision of necessary assistance on the spot. From August 9 to 11, 2024, the center provided assistance to more than 680 families.
In the Kursk region, the departure of residents from border settlements continues. In the center of humanitarian aid on the basis of the youth department of the Kursk diocese they receive food, personal hygiene items, clothes, shoes and children's goods. Priests provide spiritual support to those who apply. Hot meals for IDPs are also organized on the territory of the center. Some of those who applied for help to the church-wide hotline 8 800 70-70-222 were referred and received help at the center under the youth department of the diocese.
