On July 19, 2024, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Cooperation with Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, Chairman of the Synodal Committee for Cooperation with the Cossacks Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk held a meeting with Ataman of the All-Russian Cossack Society Vitaly Kuznetsov.
The meeting was held on July 19, 2024.
In the course of the meeting they discussed issues of spiritual feeding of Cossack battalions fighting in the zone of special military operation, as well as other topics related to the spiritual feeding of military personnel. At the end of the meeting, Ataman Kuznetsov presented Metropolitan Kirill with an anniversary edition of Sholokhov's The Quiet Don.
On the same day, Metropolitan Kirill met with Oleg Shabunevich, advisor to the director of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service. At the meeting they discussed issues of support for military priests who are sent to serve in the area of the FMS.
