On July 2, 2024, a solemn meeting dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders took place in the Palace of the Republic in Minsk.
Participants in the meeting were Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Veniamin, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, heads and staff of the republican government agencies, diplomats, scientists and cultural figures.
The audience was greeted by President of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko, who noted that in these days Belarusians remember the most important pages of their history and, marking the anniversary of the liberation of the country from Nazi invaders, mentally walk the roads of victories, starting from the liberated Komarin and ending with the heroic Brest land.
