Crosses for the Russian-Serbian church were delivered to Banja Luka

In Banja Luka Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church in January 2024, 11 crosses arrived for the Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior Russian-Serbian Church in Banja Luka (Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina). As part of the project, one large cross for the central dome, four crosses for the small domes, a cross for the bell tower, three crosses over the entrance, a cross over the gallery, and a cross for the rectory house were manufactured and delivered to Banja Luka. All items were made by the construction and restoration company "Predslava" (Russia). This company has its own multi-disciplinary production and staff of qualified specialists, and is also known for the geography of its works: the company's products are represented in many cities of Russia, as well as in countries near and far abroad, such as Kazakhstan, Serbia, Germany, Bulgaria, Moldavia, Latvia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of South Africa, France and India. The work of manufacturing and transportation of the crosses to the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Republic of Serbia was financed by the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage, according to the Foundation's website. The Spaso-Preobrazhensky Russian-Serbian Church in Banja Luka and the Spiritual and Cultural Center is being built according to the project prepared in 2017-2018 by specialists of the Moscow Architectural Institute on the basis of the architectural solutions of the Chudov Monastery in Moscow. The temple will have three side chapels: in the name of the Transfiguration of the Lord, the Royal Passion-Bearers of the Romanovs and St. Simeon and Sava of Serbia, the ancestors of the Nemanjić dynasty. The memorial church itself is dedicated to the memory of St. Tsar Nicholas II and his family. Construction of the temple began in 2018 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024. Upon completion of the construction works, internal works in the temple and the Spiritual and Cultural Center are expected to be carried out with the support and participation of the Russian side.
