On November 11-14, 2024, in preparation for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the blessed death of Saint Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, the Commission for the Development of Pilgrimage and Shrines held a training for tour guides on the theme «Life and Ministry of Saint Tikhon».

The event was held with the blessing of the commission's chairman Metropolitan Matthias of Pskov and Porkhov. The training program included online lectures by nine specialists from different regions of Russia who are engaged in studying the life of St. Tikhon or are active tour guides on the routes dedicated to his ministry. Rare materials and little-known facts about different periods of the saint's life were presented as part of the training.
A total of 725 listeners from 110 dioceses and various secular cultural and educational organizations attended the lectures. Participants who attended all the lectures will receive an electronic certificate, which will be taken into account when certifying tour guides on the routes dedicated to St. Tikhon.
