On May 22, H.H. Karekin, the Second Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin the representative of the ARF Bureau, Chairman of the Central Council of Armenian DATA Committees Hakob Ter-Khachaturyan and a delegation headed by Co-Chairman Murad Papazian, member of the ARF Bureau. The delegation also included members of the French Senate.
During the meeting His Holiness and the members of the delegation discussed issues related to the challenges facing Armenia and the Armenian people, emphasizing the national unity in the internal life and joint efforts in overcoming the existing problems.
In his speech the Armenian Patriarch touched upon the necessity of protecting the rights of the Armenians of Armenia and Artsakh and the efforts undertaken by the French authorities in that direction. On that occasion His Holiness expressed gratitude to the deputies of the French Senate for their constant support.
At the end of the meeting His Holiness answered the questions of the members of the delegation, which were related to the work carried out by the Mother See for the preservation of the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh and the return of the Armenian prisoners of war.
