The Synodal Department for Relations between the Church and Society and the Media and the Press Service of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia have created a film dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the enthronement of the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Patriarchy.ru reports.
The premiere of the film took place on January 24, 2024 in the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow at the plenary session of the XXXII International Christmas Educational Readings "Orthodoxy and national culture: losses and gains of the past, the image of the future".
Small in length (22 minutes), but capacious in content, the film, which uses the most important and vivid, including fragments from several dozen of the best videos, shot by the Patriarch's Press Service during 15 years, tells about the many facets of His Holiness' ministry. The movie provides statistical data on the life of the Church over a decade and a half.
The work of His Holiness Patriarch is not only the work of evangelization, divine service, constant care for the internal and external welfare of the Church and the multifaceted activities of governing the world's largest local Orthodox Church, but also multifaceted social activities, concern for strengthening the unity of the Church. Russian society and the state on the basis of traditional moral values, support for the Orthodox community, return of the moral dimension to the legal sphere, and dialog with the cultural community.
These and many other areas of His Holiness' activity are described in the new movie.
