The Publishing Council delivered Orthodox literature and a set of musical equipment for the Orthodox gymnasium to Berdyansk diocese

On April 27, 2024, representatives of the Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church delivered a cargo of liturgical, spiritual-educational, educational, children's and fiction literature to the Berdyansk Diocese.

The books — more than 1000 editions for children, issued within the framework of the publishing program of the Government of Moscow and transferred for the libraries of Berdyansk; children's literature, transferred by the Orthodox publishing houses, as well as collected in the Orthodox bookstores of Moscow within the framework of the charity campaign of the Publishing Council «Give a book to children». The set of donated literature included liturgical editions published by the Publishing House of the Moscow Patriarchate and intended for the parishes of the Berdyansk diocese.

In the course of the trip, a set of music and video projection equipment was delivered and installed in the Berdyansk Orthodox gymnasium, as well as computers and office equipment purchased with the support of the state corporation «Rostec». Thanks to the provided equipment, it became possible to hold musical and theatrical events at the highest level in the assembly hall of the gymnasium. For the children of Berdyansk also handed over 600 chocolate gifts provided by the holding company «United Confectioner».

Deputy Chairman of the Publishing Council Hieromonk Macarius (Komogorov) took part in the archdiocesan service on the feast of the Entrance of the Lord into Jerusalem in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in Berdyansk, which was presided over by Bishop Theodore of Berdyansk and Primorsky.

A working meeting with Bishop Theodore was also held, during which they discussed the prospects for the development of Orthodox book distribution in Zaporozhye and further support of the Berdyansk diocese from the Publishing Council.

In the course of the trip for the Easter holiday for the soldiers of the Engineer Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, performing tasks in the Lugansk and Zaporozhye directions, 500 Easter kulichs baked in the bakery of Borovskiy Paphnyutiev Monastery of Kaluga Diocese and 1000 Orthodox military prayer books provided by the publishing house «Nikea» were handed over.

And 1000 Orthodox military prayer books provided by the publishing house «Nikea» were handed over for the soldiers of the Engineer Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, performing tasks in the Lugansk and Zaporozhye directions.
