On May 6, 2024, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Serbia celebrates, according to tradition, the day of its St. George of the Cross. The celebrations were held at the Banica 2 barracks in Belgrade.

On this day, the Military Bishop of the Serbian Church, Vladyka Dosifej of Lipljanski, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the home church of St. George.

The Serbian Army General Staff has been celebrating St. George's Day as its Stations of the Cross since 2018, continuing the Serbian Army's tradition dating back to 1888.
