For the 16th year in a row, the "Christmas Gift" campaign has been held: with its help, everyone can give a gift to a family in a difficult life situation. The families' stories are published on the Give a Gift Foundation's website: podaripodarok.org. Here are some of them:
Beautiful Alina and her husband Vitaly are deaf-mutes. The guys came from a war zone with Vitaly's mom Natalia. Six months later Natalia was diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment. Vitalik works and supports his family, they live modestly. The family would be grateful for winter clothes and shoes!
The friendly and active Sasha lost the ability to walk after a car accident. She lives with her elderly mother in an old house, they are in great need of materials for repairs. Sasha's dream is a violin: she studied at a music school and would like to play for herself, for her soul.
Ola is 35, several years ago she lost her eyesight due to diabetes, which she has had since childhood. She lives on a disability pension. She asks us to help her buy sensors for a continuous glucose monitoring system.
Vladimir is a lonely pensioner who lives 30 kilometers away from Krasnoyarsk. A year ago he was left alone - his beloved wife died. Vladimir suffered a stroke and uses a wheelchair. Most of his pension is spent on rent and medicines. He needs warm winter clothes in large sizes.
Anna with son Yaroslav and daughter Veronika lives in Horlivka and works as a sales clerk. Her salary is actually enough only for food. The family will be happy to receive a gift of clothes, shoes, stationery for school children.
You can take part in the "Christmas Gift" in one of several ways:
Select a gift at podaripodarok.org, purchase it, and deliver it to the family (e.g., via online store delivery or another method, which can be verified with the family's volunteer).
Make a donation on the Foundation's website: the funds raised are used to buy large gifts, such as a medical bed, wheelchair, refrigerator, medical supplies, repair materials, etc. Reports are on the Foundation's website.
Christmas is coming soon - it is a good time to share warmth of heart not only with family and friends, but also with strangers.
