On Christmas Day, Metropolitan Mitrofan of Gorlovka and Slavyansk visited Gorlovka City Hospital No. 2. Gorlovka. Metropolitan Mitrofan went around all inpatient departments and congratulated the chief doctor, the staff who were on duty on Christmas Day, and the patients on Christmas Day. He prayed for the bedridden patients and those in intensive care, and also handed out sweet Christmas gifts.

City Hospital No. 1 was visited by Archimandrite Agafodor (Polyakov), responsible for hospital ministry in Gorlovka diocese, Archpriest Nicholas Markovsky, rector of the Intercession Church in Zaitsevo, brothers of the Epiphany Cathedral and Orthodox youth. They sang carols to the doctors, nurses and people undergoing treatment, sprinkled holy water on everyone and presented gifts from Metropolitan Gorlovsky and Slavyanskyi Mitrofan.

The staff of City Hospital No. 3 and patients of the hospice were congratulated on Christmas by Archimandrite Agafodor (Polyakov), responsible for hospital ministry in the Gorlovka diocese, Archpriest Vasily Odoviychuk, rector of the Cyril and Methodius Church in Gorlovka, and clerics of the Epiphany Cathedral. The clergy delighted the patients and medical staff with carols and sweet gifts from Metropolitan Mitrofan of Gorlovka and Slavyansk.

"I always read a lot to take my mind off of all the bad stuff. I also always thank God! He gave me 90 years of life, and I am happy about it!" - one of the hospice wards shared her approach to life with priests and young people, according to the diocese's website.
