On November 20, 2024, at the base of the Submarine Force of the Russian Pacific Fleet (SPF), a solemn handover of iconostases for the campaign churches of two nuclear-powered submarine cruisers of the SPF took place.
The event was attended by the Commander of the Russian Pacific Fleet Admiral V.N. Liina, Vice Admiral V.A. Dmitriev, representatives of the command of the Submarine Force of the Talnakh Concentrator, and the crews of the ships.
The ordinance of consecration of iconostases was headed by Archbishop Theodore of Petropavlovsk and Kamchatka. His Eminence was served by the Secretary of Petropavlovsk Diocesan Administration Hieromonk Nestor (Smirnov) and Assistant Commander of the Talnakh Concentration Fleet, rector of the garrison St. Andrew's Church in Vilyuchinsk, Priest Dimitri Apatov.
After the prayer service, Vladyka Feodor sprinkled holy water on the command and personnel of the Submarine Forces of the Talnakh Concentration Fleet.
The iconostases were delivered to Kamchatka by representatives of the charitable public Foundation for Assistance to Veterans of Power Structures «Omofor».
