On January 16, 2023, the Zaryadye Concert Hall in Moscow will host a gala concert and the closing of the first charity festival "The Star of Christmas". The Tchaikovsky Great Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Vladimir Fedoseyev will play classical works by Russian composers dedicated to winter themes. Pianist Yekaterina Mechetina, violinist Sergei Kostylev and the Victor Popov Children's Choir will take part in the concert. Actress Ksenia Alferova will also perform.
The first charity festival "Christmas Star" opened on December 19. It included concerts and excursions, performances of creche theaters and a charity fair, the premiere of the cartoon "Christmas Star", lectures on Christmas traditions and a charity art auction. According to preliminary data, more than four million rubles were raised during the festival.
All the funds are directed to help the wards of the Miloserdiye Orthodox Relief Service and the headquarters of targeted assistance to refugees in Moscow. Conductor Vladimir Fedoseyev is a Friend of "Miloserdiye" - a member of the community of those who regularly support the service. Therefore, the concert of the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra under his baton will be a perfect coda to conclude the first charity festival "The Star of Christmas". At Mercy wards, refugee families, Sisters of Charity and volunteers of the service were invited to the closing ceremony.
For those who will not be able to attend the concert, there will be an online broadcast with stereo sound on the innovative SFERUS Connect360 platform, which provides a video broadcast with a full 360-degree view. You will be able to watch the concert at the link.
