Yesterday, October 24, in the Hall of Church Cathedrals of the capital's Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the II International Congress of Regents and Choristers opened. As the magazine 'Foma' reports with reference to the official website of the Moscow Patriarchate, it is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the departure to the Lord of the outstanding composer - author of sacred music Pavel Chesnokov. Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia took part in the opening of the congress. The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church presented church awards to some of the delegates.

On October 25, the activities of the congress of choir directors and singers will be held at the House of Culture of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. And on October 26, the Divine Liturgy will take place in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, in which the combined choir of the delegates of the current forum will take part.
