On Good Friday, we recall the most tragic events in human history - bullying, torture and the terrible execution that the Savior undergoes. Good Friday is the day when the Lord does what He came to earth for. As He Himself says: “For the Son of Man also came not to be served, but to serve and to give His life for the ransom of many” (Mark 10:45) ”. As the prophecy of Isaiah, which is read on this day during the Royal Hour, reminds us, “but He was wounded for our sins and we are tormented for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and by his stripes we were healed ” (Isa 53: 5) .
Good Friday is traditionally dedicated to the remembrance of the sufferings of Christ, so this day must be spent in prayer, putting aside all worldly concerns. Believers read the four Gospels, as well as a prayer to the Lord Jesus crucified.
