Commemorative coins and stamps to be issued in the Vatican

Next year, the Vatican Philatelic-Numismatic Bureau will issue a large number of commemorative coins and stamps dedicated to a number of commemorative dates for the Roman Catholic Church. In particular, coins will be minted to commemorate the five hundredth anniversary of the death of Pope Leo X, the 450th anniversary of the birth of Caravaggio, the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri, the 50th anniversary of the Association of Saints Peter and Paul - the supreme apostles of the Lord God, the 400th anniversary of the day of the death of Pope Paul V, the 300th anniversary of the death of Pope Clement XI. Commemorative coins will also be issued for the 400th anniversary of the death of Pope Paul V, the 300th anniversary of the death of Pope Clement XI. Also, commemorative coins will be issued in honor of the Apostolic Constitution of the Second Vatican Council Gaudium et spes. Coins dedicated to Archangel Raphael and the 75th anniversary of UNESCO will also see the light of day.

The coins will be minted from different metals, some of them from gold. In addition to those listed, it is also planned to issue bargaining chips and coins dedicated to the next year of the pontificate of Pope Francis.

For Russian-speaking numismatists and philatelists, the Siberian Catholic Newspaper announced the release of new series of Vatican coins and stamps.
