In the church of the Holy Trinity in the village of Utevka, Samara region, where restoration work is currently underway, the clergy found an icon made on canvas of one of the most revered saints of the Lord God - St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, Archbishop Mir of Lycia. It is surprising that when the holy image, hidden until the time, was only found, the face of the saint on it was barely discernible - now it becomes brighter and clearer day by day. But first you need to complete the repairs and the restoration begun. Two years ago Father Anatoly Kopach, the rector of the Trinity Church, appealed to the regional authorities for help in repairing the roof and renovating the interior of the church. Currently, these works are underway, and much has already been done to restore the historical appearance of the temple. Rosneft is taking part in the project as a benefactor at the invitation of the head of the region. “Experts have completely removed the old frame and replaced the masonry. Now our central roof is in excellent condition, ”says the rector of the church, Father Anatoly, about the progress of the work. The regional governor specified that all repair work is planned to be completed in March next year, after which it will be possible to start restoring the frescoes.
