В Вологду привезут мощи Николая Чудотворца
According to the press service of the Vologda Metropolitanate, a particle of the relics of St. Nicholas, Archbishop Mir of Lycia, one of the most revered saints by Russian Orthodox believers, will be in the regional center from December 10 and for the next three weeks. The ark with the shrine will be open for worship at the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ until December 31, from eight in the morning to seven in the evening every day. At noon, at the relics of Nicholas the Wonderworker, a thanksgiving prayer service with the reading of the akathist to the saint will be served every day. The solemn meeting of the shrine on the morning of December 10 will be held on the Kremlin Square in Vologda. The Ark will be greeted by the clergy of the Metropolitanate headed by the ruling bishop, Metropolitan Ignatius of Vologda and Cyril. On the same day, the Divine Liturgy will be served in front of the relics of St. Nicholas. Let us remind you that the ark with a particle of the relics of Nicholas the Wonderworker has already visited the Vologda land: in the spring of this year it was brought to the main temple of the Vologda world polity, and in 2016 - to the city of Cherepovets. Also last year, one of the relics of St. Nicholas was transferred for eternal storage to the reviving church in the village of Nikolskoye, Totemsky district, where the outstanding Russian poet Nikolai Rubtsov spent his childhood.
