On June 20, at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow, a graduation ceremony was held for young men and women who completed a course of study in Orthodox schools and gymnasiums. It was attended by graduates of 25 educational institutions sponsored by the Russian Orthodox Church - a total of about two hundred people. Before the ceremony of awarding and presenting certificates, yesterday's students, as well as their teachers, venerated the relics of St. Philaret of Moscow. The celebrations began with a thanksgiving service, which was served by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. Then the graduates were awarded medals 'For special achievements in learning' and certificates of graduation from schools and gymnasiums, and the representatives of the teaching staff of educational institutions - letters of thanks. As the capital's information portal “On Varshavka. Chertanovo Tsentralnoe ”, the staff of school No. 1173 in Moscow for their active participation in charitable actions of the Russian Orthodox Church were awarded a letter of thanks signed by the cleric of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Archpriest Mikhail Ryazantsev. “Teachers teach children about mercy, and the return impulse is very important for strengthening the spirit and selfless power of good. Everything is done in the name of the health and happiness of children - the future of our country, ”commented the presentation of the letter of thanks at the school.
