The Heritage Center of St. Luke of Crimea will open in Pereslavl-Zalessky

In the city of Pereslavl-Zalessky, Yaroslavl Region, in the building where one of the great Russian ascetics of the 20th century, Saint Luke (Voino-Yasenetsky), treated the sick, a center of his legacy will be created. According to the Center news portal, the center will take care and provide medical assistance to people who can no longer be cured. In addition, it will operate a nursing palliative care unit for thirty beds and an educational building where sisters of mercy will be trained. The institution will also open a library, a conference hall, a museum of St. Luke of Crimea and a special exposition dedicated to the new martyrs and confessors of the Pereslavl Territory, who suffered in the godless era for their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The buildings were taken to the balance of the region, three of them were then transferred to the free use of the holy monastery for social and charitable work. On the use of the other two, an agreement was concluded with an autonomous non-profit organization. According to Roman Kolesov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Yaroslavl Region, the opening of a center with wide social rehabilitation and educational functions, equipped with the necessary equipment, will give these buildings a second life, create new jobs.
