Mark 12: 1–12
And he began to speak to them in parables: a certain man planted a vineyard and surrounded it with a fence, and dug a winepress, and built a tower, and, having given it to the tenants, went away.
And in due time he sent a servant to the winegrowers to receive from the winegrowers the fruits of the vineyard.
They, seizing him, beat him, and sent him away with nothing.
Again he sent another servant to them; and they broke his head with stones and released him with dishonor.
And again he sent another: they killed him too; and many others were beaten and killed.
And having another son, dear to him, at last he sent him to them, saying: They will be ashamed of my son.
But the tenants said to one another: This is the heir; let's go and kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.
And, seizing him, they killed him and threw him out of the vineyard.
What will the owner of the vineyard do? - He will come and put to death the winegrowers, and give the vineyard to others.
Have you not read this in the Scripture: the stone that the builders rejected, the same became the head of the corner;
it is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
And they tried to seize Him, but they were afraid of the people, for they understood that he had spoken a parable about them; and leaving him, they departed.

Interpretation of a group of verses: Mark: 12: 9-9
Ev. Matthew ... reports in the parallel section
(40 So, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do with these winegrowers? 41 They say to Him: He will put these evildoers to an evil death, and give the vineyard to other winegrowers, who will give him fruit in their days. Matt. 21: 40-41) - Will come and put to death ...
These words of ev. Mark puts it in the mouth of the Lord, while ev. Matthew attributes them to Christ's listeners. But it is also possible in Ev. Mark these words are considered the answer of the listeners, putting in front of their expression: 'and said.'
