Mark 13: 1–8
And when He was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said to Him: Teacher! look what stones and what buildings!
Jesus answered and said to him: Do you see these great buildings? all this will be destroyed, so that there will be no stone unturned here.
And when He was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew asked Him in private:
tell us when it will be, and what is the sign when all this must be done?
Answering them, Jesus began to say: Beware lest anyone deceive you,
for many will come in my name and say that it is I; and will deceive many.
When you hear about wars and rumors of war, do not be dismayed: for this should be, but this is not the end.
For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be earthquakes in places, and there will be famines and confusion. This is the beginning of disease.

Interpretation of a group of verses: Mark: 13: 3-4
Under the influence of these sad thoughts, the Apostles now followed Jesus in silence. Some of them even lagged behind Him; only Peter, James, John and Andrew walked with Him, and when He, having ascended the Mount of Olives, stopped and sat down so that all Jerusalem, illuminated by the moon, was at His feet, then they asked: tell us when it will be, and what sign,
When is all this to be done? (4 tell us when it will be, and what is the sign when all this must be done? Mark 13: 4) and what is the sign of your coming and end (3 while he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him alone and asked : Tell us, when will it be? and what is the sign of your coming and the end of the age? Matt. 24: 3) peace?
Reconciled with the thought of the inevitability of the destruction of the temple, the Apostles now thought that the Kingdom of the Messiah expected by all would begin after this destruction, that Jesus Christ would come a second time, and here, simultaneously with the end of the world, His glorious Kingdom would begin; they thought all this would happen soon, while they were alive. It was these expectations that had to be warned against.
