'Chocolate master class' was held on the Day of Orthodox Youth

«Шоколадный мастер-класс» провели в День православной молодёжи

In the Spaso-Preobazhensky monastery of the Kamensk diocese, a unique master class for children was held to celebrate the Meeting of the Lord and the Day of Orthodox Youth. According to the Yekaterinburg 'Pravoslavnaya Gazeta' newspaper, before the holiday, the parish cooks of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord baked a lot of tasty and original sweets - and the social service of the Holy Transfiguration Monastery organized charity fairs.

The funds raised were quite enough to invite professional pastry chefs from the Ural capital to the holy monastery, who arranged a master class for the youngest parishioners. Boys and girls from seven to thirteen years old - 23 people in total - came to the 'sweet lesson'. Putting on gloves, aprons and caps, novice confectioners, under the guidance of craftsmen, made confectionery from chocolate, and then decorated them with multi-colored icing and sprinkles. In addition, the children who came to the master class learned how cocoa grows and tasted caramel apples. The participants of the lesson took their crafts home to treat their relatives with them.

The master class of Yekaterinburg confectioners became one of the events that took place in Kamensk-Uralsky as part of the Sretenskaya week of good deeds. And it ended with an evening at the parish of the Holy Trinity Cathedral in the city, where children played board and outdoor games, and adults took part in an intellectual quiz, after which a general tea party was arranged.
