Currently, the old church is being restored - work is being carried out as part of the events to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the construction of the Tula Kremlin and the Great Zasechnaya Line. This year, it is planned to complete the restoration of the historical appearance of the temple - and after that specialists will be engaged in the restoration of its interior. After the completion of the work, anyone will be able to visit the temple, appreciate its beauty and offer prayer.

The stone temple was erected in 1759-1764 with funds donated by the Tula merchant Gerasim Stefanovich Sushkin. In May 1764, the temple was consecrated in honor and glory of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. Nowadays, remind 'VESTI Tula', St. Nicholas Church in Krapivna is an object of cultural heritage of federal significance.
