Prospecting work leading up to the restoration will begin next year. The Transfiguration Church, which is classified as an object of cultural heritage, is a construction of 1819, designed in the style of the then dominant classicism in architecture. The estate, on the territory of which the church is located, was owned by the Dollgorukovs at different times. The Razumovskys, Sollogubs, Samarins - and in the century before last it was acquired by the Bode family - the heirs of the ancient boyar family of the Kolychevs. During the Soviet decades, many buildings on the territory of the historic estate were lost. Since 1952, the residence of the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church has been located here.
