Orthodox youth from the Laishevsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan visited the Nikolskoye tract, which is near the village of Chirpy, where the old dilapidated church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is located.

According to the portal 'Orthodoxy in Tatarstan', this is the second visit of Orthodox volunteers to the old church. These trips were organized by the missionary department of the Laishevsky Deanery, whose work is led by Priest Yaroslav Filippov, rector of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the village of Russkoye Nikolskoye.
Orthodox volunteers intend to continue work to save the partially destroyed church - and invite all caring people to join their initiative: to work on their own or to provide the project with all possible financial assistance. In particular, the volunteers require lumber in order to collect scaffolding and cover the altar of the church. You can contact the head of the work, Priest Yaroslav Filippov using a personal message in the VK group 'Russian Nikolskoe' :
