Deputies of the lower house of the Russian parliament are discussing the possibility of establishing an additional day off on Monday following the Bright Resurrection of Christ - Orthodox Easter. Although this idea was introduced to the State Duma a year and a half ago, the people's deputies have begun to discuss it only now.

Russian clergy approved Deputy Nilov's idea. According to the traditions of successive Christianity, the celebration of Easter continues not only on Monday, but also on all subsequent days of the week, which is called Bright. And with the Easter greeting 'Christ is Risen!' believers meet each other for forty days after the Resurrection of Christ.
