It was the Pokrovsky skete on the territory of the natural park 'Volgo-Akhtubinskaya floodplain', where a rehabilitation center for birds was set up by the efforts of the monastic inhabitants. 'The abode of birds', as it was decided to name the center, opened on the site of the former landfill - according to 'Volgogradskaya Pravda'. The place was cleaned, ennobled, large enclosures were set up for rescued animals and birds. In the cells of the Intercession Skete, three monks are obeying, who will take care of the inhabitants of the sky and the forest who need human help. Nursing animals and birds and then releasing them - this is the obedience of the inhabitants of the skete. In addition, they will also conduct excursions for children and adults. In the near future it is planned to build a guest house and a refectory here. And next year, on the territory of the skete, the foundation of a wooden church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos will be laid.
