Pope Francis consecrated a bell called 'The Voice of the Unborn'

Папа Франциск освятил колокол под названием «Голос нерождённых»
Pope Francis has consecrated a bell that will ring during the traditional March for Life in Poland - as well as a number of other events in that country to protect the lives of unborn children, according to the Catholic News Agency CNA.
The bell called 'Voice Of The Unborn' is decorated with a cast image of a child in a woman's womb and a quote from the blessed Jerzy Popieluszko: 'The life of a child begins under the heart of a mother.' It also depicts two tablets; on the first - the words of the Lord Jesus Christ 'Do not think that I came to break the law or the prophets: I came not to break, but to fulfill' (Matt. 5:17), and on the second - the commandment: 'Thou shalt not kill' (Exodus 20:13 ).

Pope Francis was the first to strike the bell after the completion of the rite of consecration. The Pontiff wished that the bell, cast by order of the Yes to Life Foundation, sounded a prayer that awakens the conscience of 'legislators and all people of good will in Poland and around the world.' The purpose of the bell, according to the Pope, is “to accompany events that remind us of the great value of human life from conception to natural of death'.
The Voice of the Unborn, weighing nearly a ton and with a diameter of 122 centimeters, was cast at the end of August in Jan Felczyński's foundry in Przemyl in southeastern Poland. After the new bell was shown to believers, clergy and local authorities, it was sent to the Vatican to be consecrated by the head of the Roman Catholic Church. When the 'Voice of the Unborn' returns to its homeland, it will be installed on the belfry of the All Saints Church in Kolbuszow. However, in October they will again be removed and temporarily sent to Warsaw to take part in the events of the March of Life.
“The idea of this bell arose at the beginning of the year, when I learned that in the world, according to official figures, 42 million children die annually as a result of abortions,” Bogdan Romanyuk, vice president of the Polish fund 'Yes to life'.
In accordance with Polish legislation, the Sedmitsa.ru portal reminds, abortion is allowed only in connection with cases of rape, incest, a threat to the mother's life or severe fetal anomalies; annually in the country from 700 to 1800 legal operations for the artificial termination of pregnancy are carried out.
