A cartoon will be created about a historical church in a village near Yaroslavl

It was decided to draw attention to the temple in disrepair in the village of Kurba in the Yaroslavl region with the help of animation. According to 'Yarkub', the village church in honor of the icon of the Kazan Mother of God in Kurba will become the hero of an animated film. It will be created within the framework of the Rural Pearls Revival project, which is being implemented by the White Iris Charitable Foundation. The project received support from the Presidential Grants Fund.

Representatives of the foundation said in their public in one of the social networks that the artists have already submitted sketches for the future cartoon. “You will see the colorful history of this unique shrine of the Yaroslavl region from the moment of its creation to the present day,” White Iris told its subscribers.

The Kazan temple in Kurba is one of those shrines to which, within the framework of the project 'Revival of Rural Pearls', it is planned to attract wide attention of connoisseurs of Russian church (and not only) antiquity. The Kazan temple has an unusual central symmetric sixteen-petal shape; - the unique frescoes inside it, which are also in disrepair, date back to the end of the eighteenth century.

In the summer, Kurba was visited by members of the art expedition - artists, architects, culturologists, local historians. They appreciated the possibility of reviving an old village in the Yaroslavl region. Among those who would like to give Courbet a new life is Maria Nikitina, a direct descendant of local natives, the Katalov merchants.
