On the day of remembrance of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia, a list of Orthodox clergy and lay believers who died or suffered persecution for their faithfulness to Christ in the period from 1918 to 1950 was posted on the official portal of the church museum at the Holy Spring in Lozhka. So far, there are 459 names in alphabetical order. The list includes the names of Orthodox ascetics who suffered in the Novosibirsk region. More or less complete biographical information has been collected about many of those who were repressed: dates of birth and death, education, awards, places of service, data on family members.
The Museum at the Church of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia in Lozhka was opened in May last year and together with the church building is a single complex. One of the main tasks of the museum staff is the creation of a single martyrology for commemoration during the divine service and in the prayer of all those who suffered for their faith in the most cruel years of godless power. The list already compiled by them contains data both on residents of the Novosibirsk region, and on those who served a sentence or were deprived of their lives on it. territory. In the future, the workers of the museum at the church plan to compile a similar martyrology, covering not one region, but the entire territory of Western Siberia - and very much count on the help of people who have the data they need.
As for the church of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia at the Holy Spring itself, it was built in eleven years on the site of one of the most terrible Soviet places of confinement - the Iskitim camp. Today in the temple daily prayer is performed, commemoration of the departed is performed. And next to the temple, there is a source of holy water.
