The Holy Trinity Anthony-Siya Monastery in the Kholmogorsk District of the Arkhangelsk Region marks a round date this year: half a thousand years since its foundation. On the occasion of the anniversary of the holy monastery, one of the monastery's benefactors, a timber merchant Vladimir Krupchak, presented the main bell for the belfry.
The bell-evangelist weighing two tons was cast in Voronezh. Its height is 1.5 meters, diameter is 1.45 meters. The Blagovest is cast from bell bronze (75%) and tin (25%); its upper part is decorated with traditional ornamentation and the inscription: 'Evangelize, great joy to the earth.' On the four sides of the bell are cast icons of the Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky, the Great Martyr Dmitry Thessaloniki, Martyr Photinia and St. Cyril Equal to the Apostles.

The gospel arrived at the Siya monastery on the feast of the holy apostles Peter and Paul. Siya monastery in honor and glory of the Holy Trinity was founded the Monk Anthony on the peninsula of the Great Mikhailov Lake in 1520. Over the centuries of its existence, many famous ascetics of Russian Orthodoxy asceticised here in monastic activity. After almost seventy years of oblivion, which fell on the years of the godless Soviet rule, monastic life was revived in the monastery again. Starting in 1992, the monastery gradually filled with monks and novices who came here in search of salvation. With prayer and zeal, they set about restoring the ancient monastery. Including - and the monastery belfry, which now, with the appearance of the main bell-evangelism, has acquired the fullness of its voice.
