On July 17, the Russian Orthodox Church commemorates the last Russian emperor Nicholas II and his family, who were shot by the Bolsheviks in 1918 and later reckoned among the saints by the Church. On the night of July 16-17, in the capital of the Urals, which annually becomes the center of memorial events known as the Tsar's days, a procession of the cross took place, the participants of which honored the memory of the Royal Passion-Bearers with a common prayer.

Thousands of people took part in the Tsar's religious procession, glorifying the Lord God and His saints, including the deputy chairman of the Society for the Development of Russian Historical Enlightenment Leonid Reshetnikov, publicist and historian, biographer of Nicholas II Peter Multatuli, senior priest of the Church on the Blood Archpriest Maxim Minyailo and many others. “This is a reprisal against the last legitimate ruler of Russia, reprisal against historical Russia. Therefore, we are always here these days and we will always celebrate this day no matter what the situation is in the country, ”Leonid Reshetnikov told Izvestia.
