On December 7, on the day of memory of the heavenly patroness of Yekaterinburg - the great martyr Catherine - the capital of the Urals will be visited by His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of the Holy City of Jerusalem and all Palestine. The Patriarch, who bears the title of Guardian of the Holy Sepulcher, will lead the festive service at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. After the divine liturgy, the bishop's rite, according to the press service of the Yekaterinburg diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, will be held a citywide procession from the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Cathedral to the Temple-Monument on Blood, built and consecrated in memory of the royal passion-bearers - the family of the last Russian emperor Nicholas II. On the day of the patron saint of the city, which Yekaterinburg residents traditionally celebrate as a festive one, there will also be a festival of reciters and choirs of parish schools, concerts of classical and sacred music, one of which is called: 'Offering to Saint Catherine'
