An exhibition of the Israeli photo artist Daphne Tal 'Strong Faith: Orthodoxy in the Holy Land' has started in the Arca FreeDom art space at 6 Radishcheva Street. Within a month, until November 3, residents of Ulyanovsk and guests of the city will be able to see the master's works - a total of 36 photographs - taken by her in the period from 2013 to 2015. These are portraits of clergymen, interiors of historical temples, as well as landscapes from different places in Israel, including the Palestinian Authority.

Perhaps the most interesting of Daphne Tal's works are those that depict people: during divine services, solitary prayer or deep meditation. Interestingly, all of the artist's photographs, regardless of genre, were taken in the evening and at night, by candlelight or the moonlight - Daphne Tal uses the approach adopted by artists in the period between

Medieval and Renaissance. The works of the Israeli photo artist are connected with the Christian artistic tradition and are made in the aesthetics characteristic of Western culture and its pictorial principles. Some of Daphne Tal's portraits are very iconic. Many of those who have already visited exhibition, they say that the artist's photographs seem to have fallen out of time - and at the same time are distinguished by great expressiveness and reliability.

The photo exhibition by Daphne Tal 'Strong Faith: Orthodoxy in the Holy Land' is supported by the state of Israel and the Russian Federation, the government of the Ulyanovsk region and the Andrew the First-Called Foundation.
