Children draw their mother: the action 'Angel Wings' was held in the Kazan temple of Birobidzhan

Since 2014, the Angel Wings campaign has been held throughout Russia, timed to coincide with the holiday of the Archangel Michael and Mother's Day. In Birobidzhan, boys and girls from different parishes of the region, from large families, as well as those who are brought up in orphanages, gathered together in the temple of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God to draw the dearest person in the world - a mother - as each of them sees or imagines.

According to the regional news agency Birobidzhan, the Angel Wings action is taking place for the third time in the Jewish Autonomous Region. This year, more than thirty children took part in it - more than last or the year before. The organizers of the creative competition were the Trusteeship and Guardianship Department of the Jewish Autonomous Region and the Birobidzhan Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.

In addition to the guardian angel sent by God, children know, there is also an earthly angel - mother: she protects her child from the first moments of her life and as long as she herself is alive. It is not for nothing that the image of a mother with a baby in her arms is a recognizable symbol of peace all over the world. Awarding the authors of the best works, created during the current creative competition, will be held on the eve of the New Year holidays - in the meantime, all participants of the action, without exception, were awarded diplomas and gifts. Some of the children's drawings, selected by a competent jury, will decorate the calendar for the next year, 2020, which is being prepared by the Regional Department of Guardianship and Guardianship.
