According to the rating compiled by the TV channel 'Tsargrad', among the Russian regions where the authorities refused to close churches and only advised believers to stay at Easter at home, along with Belgorod, Murmansk, Chelyabinsk, Tver, Ivanovsk, Kostroma, Leningrad and Orel regions were also included, and also Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories.
On the contrary, strict, and sometimes simply excessive, bordering on discrimination against believers, restrictions on visiting churches in The Bright Resurrection of Christ was introduced on the territory of the Altai Republic, St. Petersburg, Rostov region. Moscow, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republic of Karelia, the Udmurt Republic, the Primorsky Territory, the Novosibirsk and Amur regions.
