The Holy Family Gift Set

This blessing set was made on an olive wood tablet and was blessed on the Stone of Anointing at the Temple of the Holy Sepulcher. Its main part is the icon of the Holy Family; it also features a crucifix, small bottles filled with myrrh anointing oil and Holy Land soil, text of a prayer calling for a blessing of the dwelling and colored decorative stones.

 This pocket-sized icon features the image of Virgin Mary, St. Joseph and Infant Jesus, raising both arms in blessing. It represents a replica of the original from the ancient Byzantine temple, lithographed by Jerusalem artisans.

Myrrh anointing oil may be used to rub sore spots on the body; when placed on a blessing tablet it has a beneficial effect on all people in the house. The tablet also features pirographed outlines of the world-know Temple of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.

It should be noted that the sale of wooden crosses of various sizes, used for blessing of the dwelling, is a common practice in the Holy Land. This set was blessed on the Stone of Anointing and includes a cross, an icon of the Holy Family and a prayer text — a great gift for one of your closed ones.
