
In the eighteenth century, during the earthly life of the revered saint, the street was called Petrova - in honor of Colonel Andrei Petrov, who owned one of the houses on it. After the death of the colonel, his widow Xenia took upon herself the feat of foolishness and performed many godly deeds. At the beginning of the nineteenth century, the street turned into Petrovskaya - and Lakhtinskaya it became known in 1877, in honor of the village of Lakhta, which later entered the city limits of St. Petersburg.
