The clergy ask for giving mind to pupils of schools, gymnasiums and colleges, as well as patience and understanding of their families and friends.

On August 31, such a prayer service was served in the Zaporozhye and Melitopol dioceses of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. According to the Ukrainian portal 'All Power', with the blessing of the ruling bishop, Archbishop Luke, the secretary of the diocese, Archimandrite Leonid (Sheremet), accompanied by the clergy of the city of Zaporozhye, performed a prayer service. More than five hundred boys and girls from city general education and Sunday schools, orphans from the Nadezhda Orthodox orphanage, as well as children of immigrants from Donbass received blessings to study in the beginning year. Together with many of the children, their parents, grandparents, as well as Orthodox volunteers from different parishes of Zaporozhye prayed.

At the end of the prayer service, the children were invited to the play 'Nikorai-Do', staged by the theater studio at the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Mother of God and dedicated to the amazing life and missionary deeds of St. Nicholas of Japan, Equal to the Apostles.
