A school of bloggers 'From heart to heart' to open in Kazan

В Казани откроется школа блогеров «От сердца к сердцу»

On May 11, in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, the School of Bloggers From Heart to Heart will start its work. The project will be implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund by the Information Department of the St. Guriy Kazan Orthodox Gymnasium and the Dukhososhestsky parish of Kazan.

Today in Russia there are many young people who, of their own free will, write materials and shoot stories about the church, faith, Orthodox prayer, and then posting their work on the Internet. The role of a blogger is tried on not only by individuals, but often by entire parishes, monasteries, volunteer and charitable organizations. Unfortunately, the level of such work is not always up to par. The organizers of the blogger school undertake to correct the matter in this sense.

“We hope that our educational project will help Orthodox journalists and employees of information departments to improve their professional level,” says the project manager, Deacon Artemy Lushkin. Indeed, quite often interesting and large-scale Orthodox events do not receive adequate coverage in the online media precisely because of poor-quality presentation. In this case, the salvage of texts and videos made on the spot becomes a top priority for parish and diocesan information departments.

Workshops on writing information materials, photography, video filming and editing, as well as promoting sites and maintaining publics on social networks will be held for five days in the country hotel 'Regina' (Petrovsky village). Education, accommodation and meals for bloggers' school students are free.

Mentors at the “From Heart to Heart” school will be Aleksandrina Malanina, an expert of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs on information support, Maxim Malkov, a lecturer at the Television Department of the Kazan State Institute of Culture, Igor Palkin, the head of the photo service of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, priest Igor Palkin, SMM specialist Vladislav Dezhnev and famous Kazan bloggers. Each of the graduates will be awarded a corresponding certificate at the end of the course.
