In Jerusalem, representatives of different faiths prayed together to rid the world of the pandemic

In the Holy City, representatives of different faiths gathered together and offered a common prayer for the health of people living on the planet and the deliverance of the world from the coronavirus. As the official website of the Big Asia TV channel clarifies, the meeting of the heads of religious associations was initiated by the mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Lyon.

The common prayer was attended by the patriarch of the Jerusalem Orthodox Church Theophilus III, the patriarch of the Catholic Church Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the patriarch of the Armenian Church Noran, Kostos Francisco Biton, the chief Sephardic rabbi of Jerusalem Shlomo-Moshe Amar, the chief Ashkenazi rabbi of Jerusalem Arieh Stern, Sheikh Mukhammad and the spiritual leader of the Druze community in Israel, Sheikh Muafak Tarif.

“The coronavirus has claimed the lives of many people around the world, regardless of religion, country, nation or continent. Danger hangs over all of us, and responsibility falls on all of us, on each of us, ”the mayor of Jerusalem said during the meeting.
