Youth Orthodox Forum 'Volga Veche' was held in Chuvashia

In Cheboksary, a youth Orthodox forum 'Volzhskoe veche' was held. A business meeting of representatives of the believing youth of the Volga Federal District was organized by the Chuvash State University named after I.N. Ulyanov together with the Cheboksary-Chuvash Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.

The delegates of the forum were students of the Volga Federal District and many other young residents of the republic - as well as representatives of the Orthodox clergy who work with believing young men and women. The head of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs, Bishop Seraphim of Istra, took part in the work of the forum; Among the honorary guests of the Volga Veche were His Eminence Ignatius, Bishop of Mariinsko-Posad, Vicar of the Cheboksary Diocese, Head of the Diocesan Department for Youth Affairs of the Cheboksary-Chuvash Diocese; Archpriest Nikolai Ivanov, secretary of the Cheboksary-Chuvash diocese, rector of the Intercession-Tatiana Cathedral; Deputy Chairman of the Youth Council under the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Yevgeny Borisovich Ananin; composer, producer, honored worker Arts of Russia Alexander Petrovich Lunev.

According to the MIR youth news agency, the chairman of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs, Bishop Seraphim of Istra, held a meeting with young men and women in the assembly hall of the Zhemchuzhina health complex, during which he noted: “Young people should strive to become a person with a capital letter, to reveal in oneself, by the grace of God, the image of God. Remember that 'everything is permissible for me, but not everything is useful.'

Later on the same day, November 25, Vladyka Seraphim concelebrated with the ruling Bishop Metropolitan of Cheboksary and Chuvash Barnabas at an all-night vigil in the Intercession-Tatianinsky Cathedral of the capital of the republic.
