Next Sunday, March 8, at the parish of St. Nina, the rite of consecration of the foundation stone of the future capital church of St. Nina will take place. The first stone in the foundation of the shrine will be laid by the Metropolitan of Rostov and Novocherkassk Mercury. The ceremony will be attended by representatives of the authorities of Rostov and the Rostov region, as well as the Georgian national-cultural autonomy 'Vardzia' headed by the rector of the Don State Technical University Besarion Meskhi. Together they will offer a prayer that the future temple will be built on time and serve long.
A stone church in the name of the venerated Orthodox saint will be erected on the banks of the Northern Reservoir, at 123 Bodraya Street. Thus, thousands of residents of the Northern Residential Area - the largest in the Don capital - will be able to visit the temple located within walking distance from the house in the future.
