According to Kursk Internet TV 46TV, the fly-over of the territory, during which prayers were offered for deliverance from the pestilence, took place with the blessing of the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad, Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York. Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan made a prayer journey through the air with a miraculous image together with the rector of the Seraphim Memorial Church in Sea Cliff, Archpriest Seraphim Gan, the cleric of this church, Protodeacon Eugene Kallaur and its parishioner Vladimir Sushko.

Recall that the original of the Kursk Root Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos 'The Sign' has been located in the United States since 1951 and is revered as one of the main shrines of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad. Currently, before the miraculous image, prayers are regularly performed to the Lord God and the Queen of Heaven for medical workers, recovery sick and the earliest possible deliverance of the whole world from the coronavirus pandemic.
